We Need Each Other - Bro Terry J

They responded, “Let’s start rebuilding!”

And they got ready to start the work. Nehemiah 2: 18

While I was reading about Nehemiah the other day I couldn’t help but think about the necessity to help one another in rebuilding our communities.

When you ponder on Nehemiah you see that unless all the people do their share of the work the job remains unfinished.

To rebuild the walls of Jerusalem it took the priests the leaders the women the noble persons and the slaves to come together and work regardless of the situation.

When we put all of our trust in the Lord and work hard for His glory even though we may be persecuted and have to put up with all sorts of trials, it will not make any difference to the outcome

Nehemiah and his fellow workers completed their task of rebuilding in only 52 days

---WHY?---- because they all agreed that they must do the job of rebuilding

And secondly they knew that it was God’s wish that it be done.

Now we all know that with God on your side all things are possible.

Maybe it’s time that all of us stopped for a short time and looked around us to see what is really happening.

Maybe it’s time for all of us to come together united in prayer and ask for the Lord’s help in doing the job of rebuilding our communities.

Maybe it’s time that each one of us said to ourselves it’s time for me to do more, not just say yes and leave it up to the same old few.

Brothers and sisters take the time and read Nehemiah chapters 2 to 6 and see the results.

I know that when my family and I are out driving and we neglect to ask for the Fathers traveling mercy and to clear our road from all obstacles, something always goes wrong. We need the Lord with us in everything.

Father, without you we are hopeless, we need you , your son Lord Jesus and the Holy Spirit to guide us,protect us and empower us, so that with you we are able to be successful in doing and completing your will.       Thank you.

in Jesus’ name we pray. Amen.
